Girls Just want to have fun!

Brooklyn has a friend named Grace. They are two peas in a pod. Brooklyn has a chart that she has to earn magnets with when she has good days. I let her pick her rewards. It is something small like a pack of gum or a trip to the park. Well she said she wanted to have her friend sleep over. I know she is only four but she wanted it and she has been really good and has been really liking the magnet charts. So I wanted her to have the reward that she wanted.

They had such a good time. Brooklyn loves the soundtrack of mama mia so they did dress up and danced to mamma mia. Even landon got in on the action. They watched a movie and had some popcorn. It was such a fun time for the girls. Brooklyn has some good friends that are boys that she loves it was nice to have a girl around to have her play with. Thanks for the fun girls night.

On the LOOSE!!

Dawson has been crawling for a few weeks now. He is so fast. I will set him down with some toys before I know it he in the kitchen or the bathroom. He really gets up and goes. It is such a fun stage but nerve wracking at the same time. Brooklyn and Landon are finding out there toys are not safe if they are in the same room Dawson is he crawls right to them and picks them up. He is not wanting to eat baby food either. He wants what we are eating. I have found that he loves strawberries and bananas. I cant believe that in a few weeks he will be 8 months old. He is getting to big. I think he has had a smile on his face everyday since he was born. So i will put things up higher and watch what I leave out.
On a side note how do I place pictures inbetween what you write? I need help so my pictures arent just on top of what I write. Thanks

So So Hot and Lazy

The weather has been good here in paradise except for the middle of the day. It has been so stinking hot. Just thinking about outside I get a sunburn. What better way to stay cooled off then a run through the sprinkler. Landon was the only one that enjoyed the sprinkler.

Our neighbor gave us this hammock the kids have loved it since we got it. It has been a low key week. Not much has been happening out here. Other then staying cool.

OH A CAMPING WE WILL GO

Well this weekend was our ward camp out. I took the kids up on Thursday and stayed until Saturday. You can all drop your mouths you did read that right. Me myself and the help of great friends.set up our camp and had a great time. The kids were having so much fun.

We camped at a place called Hukilau Beach. Just like the song. So you could say I was going to the Huki Huki Huki Huki Huki Lau. There was so much space for the kids to run around. How can you beat camping on the beach.

We set up our tents then grilled some hot dogs. Then we wore the kids out and put them to bed. It was the first time in a long time that I stayed up until about 1:00 in the morning just laughing and talking with friends. So thank you kids for going to sleep.

On Friday we had a good beach day. The kids had so much fun getting carried in and out by the waves. Landon got a little to knocked around by the waves but he had a few good laughs. Our little fishy Brooklyn loved the waves. Dawson loved the sand. It tastes so good. Then after we cleaned up the kids continued to play in the sand. Our ward had a pot Luck dinner and a campfire that night. Brooklyn loved all the songs they sang. She was in heaven standing up and singing all the fun campfire songs. Then after a fun filled day the kids fell asleep and it was back to adult time. It was so much fun to just relax and laugh with good stories.

On Saturday we woke up and had the fun job of putting all the stuff down. It was a chore. I think I like the job of keeping the kids out of the camp stuff while David does all the work. I want that job over taking all the stuff down.

The kids had so much fun. It was really nice to have a mini vacation if you will. More work then your normal vacation but it was still a good time. It was so fun to watch the kids having so much fun. They found so many fun treasures. They loved getting dirty. I forget how care free they are. My kids were so dirty but they didn't have a care in the world.

Thank you to all the great friends and people that helped me this weekend. It was a great time. I will do it again next year.

Curly Q(update on the haircut)

So here is a better view of Brooklyn's curls. Like I say they are a little shorter then I had hoped for but she is still a cutie.

Brooklyns first Haircut.

Has any mom out there ever cut there kids hair and regretted it??? Well that is how I was feeling after last sunday when I took matters into my own hands and chopped away at Brooklyn's hair. It was growing crazy because of the curls. She doesn't like anything in it. She hates it being combed. I did not want to pay money for someone to cut it. So I took matters into my own hands. It turned out shorter then I had hoped. After that first chop you just have to keep going. She loves it she could not be happier. She thinks it is so fun to put the gel in her hair all by herself. It brings out all the curls. I am hoping that it will grow in better now. At least it is not school picture time or a few days before David comes home or something. As the week grew on it has gotten better. I will try to get a good pic of her curls but this picture can give you and idea of the length. She loves it so that is all that matters.
The pictures dont really show how curly it is but trust me it is. I will get a better one.

Plant a seed and it will grow

I am not green thumb but every summer I seem to try again and again to plant something. Well this summer I decided we were going to have a great experience from the seeds to the finished product. David was so great to dig me out a garden in our backyard. So me and the kids planted peas, squash, carrots and cucumbers. Everything was doing well. Then the squash took over everything. We had so much squash. It was really yummy I cooked one. The other ones were pulled of by four little hands before they were ready.

It was fun to do my next project is herbs. I am excited to try something else hopefully we have another success story.

Extreme Home Makeover(sort of)

Well we have almost been in our house a year. When we moved it we kind of just made sure that everything had a place. We kind of kept things the same way that we did in the other house. Well the last few days I have been making a list of decorating projects.

Now I am no decorating pro but I wanted to make more out of living/family room. Like I said I am no decorating pro but I put a few touches on that i really like. I am looking for something to go on the top shelf of the bookshelf so I will take any ideas.

I had a goal to only spend less then $50.00. It really worked. It was a fun project to see what I had around the house and use it. So it isn't as big and as extravagant as Extreme Home Makeover but it is a close second.

Let me know if anyone has any ideas on what to put on the top shelf. I was thinking something with flowers??
by the way the kids in the picture you dont recognize as mine as are my friends jamie. Good Kids

Dawson Is getting so Big

Well Dawson is just growing and growing. He so happy and smiley. He loves to have Brooklyn and Landon around. He gets the biggest smile on his face when he sees or hears there faces. He is 19 pounds. You can see two teeth on the bottom coming in. He has started to get up on all four and rock back and forth. I was trying to capture him doing that on the camera.

Either way these are super cute pics of Dawson.
