The dancer and the big boy pants

You would think by the title this was going to be a fairy tale story huh? Well it is actuallly what we have been up to. We found the greatest place for brooklyn to dance. It is in mililani. It is done through the YMCA. It is creative movemnt ballet. The director of the dance program is great. Brooklyn loves it. They have a theme every month. Febuary theme is teddy bears so she gets to take her bear to class with her. They learn a few ballet poses every time then they learn a dance as well for a recital in april. She loves it. Her first day she kep telling david that she knows how to arabesque. It was cute.

Last dance class they were able to dress up because they were having a tea party.

They had everyone bring a treat to share. They had teapots and teacups set at each place. It was really cute. She is having such a fun time. I cant wait to see what the rest of the months brings and what she learns.

The other day Landon woke up saying he wanted to wear his underwear. So I said okay. He did really good until he had to go to his room for something. He had an accident and he was trying to put his diaper on. I said do you still want to wear diapers. He said no. So ever since tuesday he has wanted to wear his underwear. Today is only thursday and I am thinking why? Does he really get the concept or does he just want to wear underwear?

He didnt have such a good day yesterday but he sure is trying. He got himself dressed yesterday and I couldnt help but laugh when I saw how he got himslef dressed. So this could either be a huge blessing in a few weeks or my nightmare has just begun. Who knows we will have to see

Welcome Home

My friend audra's husband has been in iraq for the last 15 months. She has been a real trooper. she has done an amazing job at handeling things while he has been gone with her kids and everything else that she has to do. Well the day came on tuesday were he came home. She asked if I would go with her to the welcoming ceremony that they have for the soliders so I could take pictures for her. I was excited to go see what it was like.

Of course when we got there my camera was low on batteries. I will just post a few that came out. It was so neat to be there to see all the families re-united. It was neat to see the relief on all the peoples faces when they saw there loved one. It was just neat to be in the room and hear the songs and the words from the chaplin.

Welcome Home bobby, I hope you have a great time with your family. Thanks for aksing me to go with you audra. Hope these next few weeks getting re-aquainted and adsjusting goes well.

Thank you also to all the service members that are coming home and leaving. Thank you for the sacrifice you make for us. thank you to the families that deal with the deployments. Welcome home to all the other soliders coming home.

Well we are back safely. We had such a great trip. I first have to say thank you to everyone that helped me withthe kids, the winter clothes for the kids, all the yummy food we ate, all the fun things we did and everything else. I have such great family and friends. I especially want to say to my Donna and the dynamos I had so much fun hanging with my sistees. You girls are great to be around. I think so highly of all of you. I love you and miss you all the time. Meredith is not pictured because she got a better kick out of watching us dance then dancing with us but she still is a dynamo.

We did a lot of fun stuff in Utah. It was a nice distraction. We went tubing, to the dinosaur museum, lots of play days with cousin, sleep overs with cousins, cafe Rio( yummy I got to get exercising before it shows on my but and hips, played in the snow, went to st. George, saw my dear best friend Adrienne who I haven't seen since we left Monterrey(she is the greatest friend ever) went to dino towne playland( a huge hit with he kids at south towne mall), had some girls nights, and a fun night of BUnCO!

It was a great time but nothing beats coming home to your own home. It is so nice to be back. I couldn't be home without sending a little love my moms way. She was great the whole time we were at her house.(So were the rest of you family) She knew just when I needed a break she was always there to give me a break and to help the kids. I have always thought that she was the greatest mom and she really is. At the last minute she flew back with me from Las Vegas. She stayed with my dad who was out here on business. Then on Friday she stayed at my house and me and David went away for the night. It was so nice I will tell more about that just keep reading.

So mom thank you for everything and all that you did and still do for me and my kids. i miss you everyday. Thanks for always listening to me when I call no matter how many times in the day. Thanks for all the help with the kids and getting all my stuff back. You are greatest mom and I hope that my kids will think the same of me as I think of you. I love you and thanks again so much for all you did for me and the kids.

So me and David had the great chance of going away on Friday night. We have been lucky enough to get away every year since we have been married. I highly recommend it. It is the greatest thing. I think one of the best things you can do. Again it had been my great mom who has watched the kids. David is the best also. I called him on Monday and told him what the plan was and he just took care of it. So we went to turtle bay for the night. It was awesome. The place is gorgeous. We had an amazing view of the pools and the beach from our balcony.

When we got there we went to to the pool for a little bit and walked around the grounds. We went to a nice dinner and looked in the shops that night. Then in the morning we had breakfast on our balcony and sat out there for a little while.

It was so nice and such a great time. I am so blessed to come from a great family and to be married into a great family. It was great to see Duane, terry and April Thanks for everything Duane and terry. Thanks for letting us stay at your house and all the help. Thanks April for the visits and always feeding us yummy food. I am now hooked on Cinnamon hearts.

David you are the greatest. I love you so much. I cant help but get all mushy about you. Thanks for everything that you do for me and the kids. You are my strength on so many things. You mean the world to me. Thanks for the get away and I am glad you are home safely. I love you

Happy Birthday Dawson!!

Dawson is one years old. This post is a few days behind. We went to st George for the weekend. It was a great time. We had cake and ice cream with my family as well as we were lucky enough to have Davids dad and terry there. It was fun.
On his birthday day we went with my sister Millie and her daughter McKenzie to wheeler farm. We feed the ducks and saw all the animals. IT was a fun day.
I cant believe that he is one. I guess i can say that we survived the first year of three kids. It was very tiring at first but all worth it. I do have to say that he is officially off of formula. Thai will be nice on the pocketbook not having to buy formula.
He is such a cute baby. He just goes from one thing to the next. I have a feeling that this next year is going to be filled with Dawson getting into everything and giving me a real run for my money.
I cant believe he is one. I have loved every minute of being his mom. Dawson you have brought us so much joy. You are the perfect addition to our family. We love you so much and am so proud of you for all that you have learned this year. Happy Birthday Dawson we love you

Tubing at solider hollow

The other day I went with my kids to solider hollow to go tubing. It was a little pricey I thought at first but I really wantedd to take them sledding. It was well worth the forty dollars. My sister and her family were going so we tagged along. M ymom watched dawson so i was extra excited to just have some good quality time with the older two.

It was the most fun I have had. It was a perfect day to go. When you buy your tickets you get them for a two hour increment. Our time was 2-4. It was the right amount of time to be out in the snow before we got to cold. They had a tow rope that took you up the hill and then you got on the tube and went down the hill. The set up was perfect and it was so much fun. Thanks millie and Bodie for letting us tag along with you. Thanks mom for watching dawson so I could go with the other two.

I highly recommend the tubing hill at solioder hollow for anyone that lives in utah.

Pure Enjoyment

They recommended that you be three years old to ride the tow rope up the hill. They had a little baby hill so if you were under three you should sled down a small hill. We passed Landon for three. The baby hill was very small. Once the kids found it they had some fun playing on it. Brooklyn thought it was fun to pull landon down that small hill and then back up the hill. She is such a good big sister.

On a little side note I was having Landon help me make breakfast the other day. Dawson and Brooklyn were asleep still. It was a nice few moments to have just me and him. I just thought this picture was cute and captured a sweet moment.

Short one

Well David is officially gone. He did leave last week but they pulled them back in for a week. He will still be home around the same time so that is Nice that we get a short one this time. We are heaving a great time with family and friends. It is a nice distraction. So I will have some posts on the journal of David gone if any of you want to read them. Hope you are all doing well. I will be home the end of January .I cant wait to catch up with everyone.
David I know you cant read this now but when you can know that I love you so much and I cant wait to see you. Good luck on the trip. I love and miss you so much I cant wait to be home with you

Mamma MIA!!!

Finally the day has come were the greatest movie MAmma Mia is on DVD to watch over and over again. The best part of the DVD is that there is a sing along addition. It is the greatest feature ever. MY great sister Leslie had put together a mamma mia party on monday dec 29. It was at my moms house. The only requirements were to bring your singing voice good or bad and a costume. Me and my sister leslie went to ross and found our costumes for the sisters. Ross never fail us. We found some gold shiny dress/shirt tops and some pleather pants. That is right I said Pleather pants. I was a little nervous for the pleather pants. I treid them on and I think I was more excited that they fit with out any excess falling out and I was able to breath just fine.

At the party we had a chocolate fountain and appetizers. It was yummy food and good company. My dear freind adrienne that I havent seen since we moved from california was in town and ws able to come over. It was sgreat to see her and spend time with her. Even though it was crazy with all the people and the kids I was so glad that she could come. My dear friend ashley also cam over dressed in socutme and all. Thanks girls for coming. My sisiter leslie has a really good friend named ali that came over as well. She has know ali for a long time and ali was in town from idaho. My sister in law janece and my niece kaysie came down from ogden to be there. It was so fun to be around such great people. The kids had there cousins there. I think the little girls got more excited for the mamma mia party then the adult girls. All the little cousins know all the words to the songs.

So what does a mamma mia party intale? Well we put the movie on the sing along version and we sang and danced our hearts out. It was the first night in a long time that I let it all loose and really enjoyed myself. There was so much going on and so many fun picutres taken I figured the easiest thing to do was to put the pictures up so enjoy the pictures and the movie.

I do have to give a special job well done to my mom. She is the greatest. She brought a costume and was shaking it with the best of us. There is a part in the movie were mery streep sings this song with a red scarf. Well part of my moms cosutme was a scarf. When the song came on my mom did us all proud with dancing and singing to it. She is the greastest. Thanks for the job well done and the laughs mom!
